This year RTC has been given the amazing opportunity to compete in the French Open in Paris, France that’s part of the World Series. As the competition draws near, the excitement is building… as well as our run-through count ;). Everyone is hard at work perfecting our many routines, and we can’t wait to show them off on the world stage. However, as the excitement builds, so does the pressure to represent our country well at the biggest meet RTC has ever taken part in. Luckily, between our own RTC coaches and the CSIO experts we work with daily, we have a fantastic support team working alongside us. They help to ensure we are amply prepared, physically and mentally, to face the incredible and exciting challenge we have ahead of us.

Within the next 6 weeks, our team will compete at three separate competitions. Without the right mindset, this may seem overwhelming. With the growth mindset that the RTC is currently focusing on, we’ve learned to break down daunting tasks into more manageable pieces and focus on one thing at a time. This helps us manage the stress that comes with the fast approaching large-scale competitions while simultaneously preparing for Ontario Provincial Championships this weekend.

All of us at RTC are going to be working very hard these next few weeks, but we are absolutely up to the challenge! We wish you all the best of luck in your respective upcoming competition seasons!
